A Web 2.0 night 4 parents

There are lots of reasons to become a Parents 2.0 resident, this is the growing list of reasons:

1. A resident family can find hand-picked educational Web sites for kids from grade 3 to grade 12 based on age and subjects.
2. A resident family can create its own Web page(s). You can introduce your family to the community, share parenting experience, share professional knowledge, or just blogging.
3. You can be sure that families in the community are invited by friends and relatives, i.e., you know someone who knows someone who knows that family.
4. Families use nick names from registration to discussions, no real names and addresses will be stored anywhere on site.
5. Kids, teens, young adults age 8 to 20 are getting more and more heavy Web users, parents ought to keep up with the Web skills in order to understand, communicate and help their children.
6. Parents 2.0 is a virtual community with parents all over the world using the Web, learning about the Web, and enjoying Web age parenting together.
7. With Parents 2.0, "no time" is no longer a problem, since parents are helping each other on similar issues and solutions. We all save time.
8. Parents 2.0 also is a place for parents to make an impact on the world. Parents who care about education, care about children's career, care about world future, care about environment, can discuss ideas and share knowledge with like-minded parents.
9. You can say want is on your mind, other parents can comment on the same subject, just like young people are doing. However, we parents are more mature and more constructive. We gain the hands-on Web discussion experience which can be useful to our children.
10. Parents can use their own private pages to share family information and photos with relatives living far away.
11. You can view and change Wiki pages anytime, anywhere you are online and with a Web browser, no special hardware or software needed.
12. You can use RSS feed to keep up-to-date of new development on Parents 2.0.
13. You will be informed early about things to know, to watch, to avoid, or to do. You know your Parents 2.0 community is on your side.
14. Pages are linked so that people who invited you and people whom you invited are easily connected.
15. Every time you find something worth going back on the Web, you can easily put a link on your own Wiki page which can be used anytime and anywhere you are online.
16. Every time you hear/see somethng new on the Web you can discuss it with other parents on Parents 2.0 to decide if you want to introduce it to your kids or decide the best way to guide your kids. (such as 'Second Life')
